Impatience Leads to Re-runs

It seems that Caleb is very anxious to make his debut, which means I am getting my fill of re-runs, Food Network, and HGTV.

Our appointment last Tuesday went well. His heartbeat, as usual, was good, although he wouldn't stay still so that the nurse could listen to it for very long. All of my work up was good as well and the results from my blood work came back without any cause for concern. Everything was going great until the doctor told me that I was showing early signs of labor, a little earlier than what she would like.

So, the last few days I have been staying off my feet and getting familiar with some of the shows I don't get a chance to watch during the day. It has also been nice to catch up on some of my reading. I'm hoping that after Thursday everything will return to normal so that I can help a little with moving and setting up the nursery.

I think after we get settled, I might have Keith on reduced activity for a while because of all he has been doing since I have been out of commission. He's been taking such good care of Caleb and me, but I know he's exhausted!

I'll have an update on Thursday. Please keep us in your prayers. We are both fine, but I would like to be back on track instead of running early.

Juda,
I will definately be praying for you and Caleb! Especially since you are a week behind me...it is definately a little soon! My Dr. told me that we could go in about 5 1/2 weeks which would put me at 37 weeks prego. Keep me updated! Good luck with everything! And definately stay off your feet as much as possible! Talk to you soon!

Juda, Juda. I'm glad you are obeying orders and sitting still. Make no plans to catch up until your child is 18 and moved out. It's an exercise in futility.

I'm exaggerating of course, but seriously...don't put too much expectation on yourself and keep your mind relaxed as well as your feet. Be content to rest for a little while.
