Unexpected Blessings

It is so wonderful how in life we receive unexpected blessings that make our lives more colorful and fulfilling. I realized this when one of my co-workers looked at me the day I told her I'm pregnant and said, "Oh what a wonderful, unexpected blessing this is!" What she said to me is so very true and has rung in my ears ever since. Sometimes we don't even have to ask for the things that we find we want. Our goal through these posts is to share with family and friends the joy and life of our "unexpected blessing." However, I must admit this is not our own idea as Keith's brother and sister-in-law have been utilizing this medium to keep family and friends involved in all of the wonderful things that their children do for quite some time now and we found the idea so great we just had to try it too! So, I hope that this will maybe make even our out-of-town family and friends feel like they are able to be involved in the cute and enlightening moments of our "unexpected blessing."

For now all I will have are doctor appointment updates and maybe a big announcement or two. I will try to make it as interesting as possible, but it might be a little boring until September when I can start to post pictures.

My doctor appointment last week went very well. She says that all of the usual blood tests came back with very good results. The baby's heartbeat was also very good. She reassured me that my very long naps are nothing unusual so that was comforting and she let me know that all of the "1st Trimester Fun" should be subsiding soon, which I have found to be true. All I do now really is slip into a coma like nap from around 8pm to 12 or 1am which Keith just has to let me come out of myself because no amount of trying to wake me up seems to help. I must admit though, that it is much better than the 1st Trimester alternative. So, I am counting my blessings.

I do have an announcement to make from that doctor appointment. She said that in 5 weeks (about 4 weeks by now), I will be going back to have another ultrasound. This will be the 20 week ultrasound where they will be able to tell if it is a girl or boy. Keith and I are very excited. So, by the next post I should have a very big announcement. The appointment is April the 29th at 9am and I will try my very best to post something that day.

I think those are all the highlights. Hopefully, the posts that follow won't be nearly as long. Feel free to interact too! You can either leave comments or email me your thoughts.
